(2)6" schedule 40 PVC caps 6-8" piece of schedule 40 PVC pipe (2) muffler clamps (2-2.5" depending on mounting location) (4) flat washers that fit the muffler clamps (1) can of spray paint for plastic (1) pair of "oversized 6.5" speakers (6.75 maybe) A scuffing pad or fine grit sand paper

DIY Speaker pods. made some Component speaker pods out of PVC, and used some conduit clamps and rubber strips to mount them to the cage. they are Polk DB 5.25 components, the crossover is mounted inside the large 6" PVC that also holds the woofer, the small PVC is 2" and holds the tweeter.

Mids measure about 3" but took some dremel to clearance the last little bit of connector/frame. I inserted a piece of 3" pvc into a 3x3" coupling since the holes measure wider than the 3" pipe outer diameter. Routed a 3.5" circle out of a cutting board to seal up the rear and epoxied that in place. Wrapped the mid pods in vinyl and viola! Mid pods!

The base easily mounts over fabric/blanket and securely holds onto the tube. The PVC tube does not need to be cut to provide clearance for the 3" speaker pods.
