Football Park is the former home of Australian football in South Australia. The 51,240-capacity stadium played host to its last AFL game on 31st August 2013 and its last SANFL Grand Final on 6th October. Following its closure, the Adelaide Crows, Port Adelaide and the SANFL moved to the redeveloped Adelaide Oval.

The government's contribution to the stadium's redevelopment will help to enhance the roof to provide greater shelter and improve dining.
